The texture of genuine carbon fiber creates a depth effect and refracts light differently depending on the viewing angle.

The keycaps have been acoustically tuned to match the sound of traditional ABS and PBT keycaps. Keyboard enthusiasts may have experience with carbon fiber plates and its high specific stiffness resulting in a high frequency sound signature commonly known as clack. We optimized the sound performance of the keycap using a graphene-polyamide composite to counteract these undesirable high frequency sound properties, while reinforcing all the strengths of carbon fiber. 

CarbonKeys uses anodized metal alloy for the most durable, non-cracking stems. The stems of all plastic keycaps, including high-end double-shot PBT and ABS keycaps, can crack, resulting in loose fitment and ticking sounds. Metal stems are the answer. Anodization is an electrochemical process that produces a beautiful finish. Additionally, anodized finishes do not flake or crack like traditional acrylic-based paints. Our stems are designed to last.
